My dad died when I was 3. Mom raised seven of us all alone. I heard this first right after you released it and I have gone back to it over and over. Now I have four kids of my own and my mom has been dead for 5 years as well. Seems like I have a pretty friendly relationship with my own mortality and I think this song conveys it well.

This song is such a mix of emotions for me. The last thing I did with my girlfriend before she broke up with me out of the blue was show her this video, and that horrible night is in the back of my mind when I watch this video. The song is so sad too. However, this is the most beautiful a capella song I've ever heard so it brings me happiness too.

Just found this. Absolutely awesome. I knew it would be when I saw Peter Hollens with all his energy and creativity, and the Swingle Singers, whose exquisite harmonies first attracted me to voice groups as a child listening to Rags and all that Jazz.
