I think OnePlus NORD was the first phone to start the trend of cheaper variant unavailability, its 6/64 GB variant was NEVER SETTLEd on stock and later never came but they made a huge campaign out of it on how the starting price was under 25K, later other companies followed...
As for the rebranding, I don't mind it as long as I get a value for money phone..

I agree with you brand follow all such techniques to sell their products and gain more profits, but at the end one who suffers is normal Indian consumer 🥺

The rebranding thing of Vivo and Iqoo z6 is legit. I own a Vivo T1 44W phone and I am much more satisfied.
Not to mention, company should focus more on bringing good software updates, it fixes alot of problem. For instance, the camera can be fixed through a software update, bcoz why not, the end result matters.

Smartphone are becoming boring, and there is unnecessary of lots of launch, main thing we need is soft update, security update for good period of time, as we all know inflation is going on, and price hike is almost everywhere, so it has become more difficult to buy new phone more frequently, and there is nothing innovative as much
