I've always had really bad motion sickness when using my phone in the car. It used to get to the point where my driving started to suffer, but hopefully now it will be better :) Thanks!!

I actually have this too know the direction my car is moving when I’m next to the driver even while I still look at the screen. I have it set up for it to be Automatically on a ride so that I don’t need to get distracted by the dots when I’m not on the vehicle. O also have motion sickness when parents drive me to long distances.

Does it work on a bike or when you don’t sit in traveling direction in a train??

Is there a setting for how quickly the dots repeat? A person may have one eye with weaker muscles.

Brain "tracks" the dots but one eye's muscles physically weaker, therefore slower. If the dot sweep is too fast, the stronger eye's muscles will already start moving to lock onto the second sweep of dots before the weaker eye can.

Also, if the weaker one has wet eye, it will blink more often to refocus between wet and when the eyelid wipes away the wet. This is noticeable even without anything else on the screen.

PS Ignoring or not testing web pages for these visual cues can result in designs that repel people.

I have them on automatic but interestingly for me, they show up soon after I get in the car but before the car actually starts moving. Kinda strange.

Where’s the proof that dots on the side of your screen help with motion sickness?

But the thing is, it always randomly turns off for a bit then back on, even when I’m actually in the car. It’s pretty annoying. By the way, it’s on automatic for me

Is this good for your iPad kid you *MUST* disown now? Yes.
For the average adult? If they hate VR: Yeah. (If not then it’s a maybe)
