A power outage occurred at Chennai Airport just as Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived, raising concerns over the state government's ability to ensure the security of high-profile dignitaries. The outage, which lasted for about 10 minutes, left the airport in darkness and exposed the Union Home Minister to potential security risks. Shah was reportedly travelling in a bulletproof vehicle, but he was still vulnerable to attack during the outage. BJP leaders, including Coimbatore South MLA Vanathi Srinivasan, condemned the power outage and accused the state government of negligence. They said that the outage was a serious security lapse and that it could have put Shah's life at risk
