I have a version of this painting that my grandfather painted following Bob many years ago!

It's not the fact that he's using the knife to make these unreal works of art, but it's the sound of the knife against the pallet that gives me good feelings

The sound of the knife against the Plexiglass palette hypnotizes me.

The fact that these are literally actual asmr videos from 25-30 years ago shows you how ahead his time he was. It's unreal.

100 years from now there will be someone enjoying those knife sounds just as we have all these years ❤💯

The father of televised/public accessed ASMR.

There are folks who have painted along with him. They work. These paintings are masterpieces of patience and tranquility. I think Sgt. Ross rests easy knowing that even now, years after his passing, folks are still giving their tress a friend and making happy little accidents along with him.

You carried a torch, Sgt., and while your days of screaming at recruits we're long over you trained new hands at a few things on the war against depression.

I salute you.

This is my first time watching the famous Bob Ross...

This is fascinating and i'm kind of speechless. What an amazingly calming manner and talent he had. It's relaxing on a completely different level

As a little girl I remember my mom saying “honey bob ross is on. Wanna take a nap?” We’d snuggle into bed together and fall asleep watching him. Such a peaceful memory.

Imagine sitting round a campfire smoking loud with this king while he tells you life lessons in a hushed, gentle voice. RIP legend.

Absolute master of this expression. His voice is a great compliment to his ability to make you believe you can do this. If you were angry or anxious before, watch him and you are calm.

This is what comfort is supposed to sound like. Starting with the salted caramel drips of dear Bob's descriptions, to the satisfying scrip scrape of his knife, to the generous and lovely way he encourages his audience to make our own decisions and emphasizes that they and we are important while being so forgiving of our mistakes and encouraging us to do the same, to his little voice effects of "swip", "bounce bounce bounce bounce bounce", "skwitz",

Bob Ross just feels like a warm blanket wrapped over you on a cold winter day when you're all snoodled in cozy.

The sound of that knife mixing the paint on his palette = bliss.

If Bob Ross and Morgan Freeman told stories. All of the universes will go to sleep.

I may have only have been born in very late of '99. But I wish I had an eighth of the creativity this god of a man had. Let alone the amount of skill and patience he had. There are no words on how I can feel how the world misses him.
