I just like how Phoenix went from no freeways, to a plethora from freeways, and much more modern ones, unlike those in California, with one exception of I-105, and SR-65. Unless there’s more of them in California. Great video as always, enjoyed it!

I miss AZ…. I spent 18yrs of life there before moving to Northern California. It’s amazing how big it’s gotten, the new and improved freeways is absolutely amazing. One day I’ll return back home to AZ.

the phoenix metro area freeways are the most modern of the entire interstate system, loops 202, 101 and 303 are some of the most modern freeways in the country.
with that being said, anything road related to phoenix is gonna be good!

Nice one. The loops should really be Interstates, IMHO: I-410 or I-217, for example instead of Loop 101. Loop 202 could be another I-x10, and the same for AZ 51.

Great video as always mate. That short stretch of the I-10 at the beginning with 7 lanes each way was seriously impressive. Also, the quality of the asphalt is AMAZING - not a pothole in sight! 😲

Fun fact: if I-17 was a 3-digit auxiliary interstate (as it honestly should) it would be the longest one in the country, topping I-476 in Pennsylvania by 16 miles.

It was noted in a previous video on how fast your videos on Phoenix become outdated with all the construction going on. Well, you can soon add this one to the list as well! ADOT is getting ready to widen the Loop 101 Agua Fria from I-17 to 75th Avenue, which also includes widening the exit ramps on all exits in the project area, and significant improvements with the 75th Avenue interchange.

Construction on this project could start in 2023, but will be underway by 2024.

The exit number anomaly with I-17 actually works out for the best, accidentally. Because 17's exit number for The Stack is 200, meaning it's easy to see how far north you are of The Stack along 17.

Despite being 145 miles long (as noted in the video), I-17 is an "Interstate" that never gets within a hundred miles of leaving the state.

Thanks for showcasing the Loop Freeways of Arizona. They look very modern, esp in comparison to the part of I-17 we saw early in the video.

So, the final video in Phoenix (for now) is going to be on another Loop Freeway. Can't wait to see it next week!
