All I ask for is backward compatability. There's a few games I want but it makes zero sense buying a Switch for them with the new console right around the corner.

A console lives and dies by its games. I got a PS5 last year, and I'm very happy with it, but only because by that point a lot of games were out for it. Came with Spider-man 2, and I got Ratchet and Clank : Rift Apart, which kept me occupied until I could afford more games. If I got it at launch, I'd have been pretty disappointed despite it being a technical powerhouse. Still don't see a reason to get a Series X, though.

As a Nintendo fan, I'm definitely going to get the Switch 2, but it won't be until after at least a year on the market.

Hearing Josh and Scott complain about power I really wonder if these guys have ever played retro games on original hardware.

I think people want just 1080p 60fps for Nintendo like the wii u did..

When almost every PS5 game is still coming out on PS4 as well, I'd say the Switch 2 being on par with the PS4 while being a handheld basically makes it a pocket PS5 or Xbox Series X

Crazy how Josh will buy a mid gen upgrade for a console with no games but says the Switch with its list of titles isn't Worth it

The Switch 2's biggest advantage is something the industry has been pushing on us for the last decade: Cloud streaming. This is how some versions of games are able to be "played" aka streamed, on the current Switch at all. So, where there is a will, there's a way... Even if we want our gaming experience to be local (native) due to latency and other related issues.

Omg, Josh is finally learning that tech without software is meaningless!

The Switch is great, got it xmas '23 n been playing it none stop since

It would be nice if the new Switch is powerful enough to play more third-party vg to justify releasing

It is a great handheld console n brings me back to nostalgic gameboy days

It also great for playing indie games

I also can't justify buying a new Switch if it's just rehash of the same; it does need to be noticeably more powerful to play third-party vg otherwise whats the point.... other than greed

The Steamdeck and PC Handhelds is something Sony should be worried about the most and Mircosoft after them

I like how he starts out saying we know when we don't actually know anything until Nintendo actually says something.

My biggest question is: is the average gamer going to know the difference between this and a Switch? One of the (many) reasons the Wii U failed so badly was because casuals just thought it was a fancy Wii

What was the "thing" for the snes? It was just better....no gimmicks.

Backwards compatibility and less pop ins/dropped frames and I will buy day one. Yes, I’m a simple woman. I can play awesome games in my bed - I buy.

You somehow forgot that there is a Switch Lite, too.

Let me port my games from the Switch 1 to Switch 2 and ho estly I wouldn't even be mad about not owning my games since I bought digital copies.

Steamdeck is cool and stuff (owns one) but nintendo still got their games locked to their hardware. emulation is not same feeling.

I'm really tempted to flag this video for misinformation. How on earth do you know if there will be no games at launch? If any company knows how to keep a game hidden in their vault, it's Nintendo.

I grew up on Nintendo, so I love it, but I only play exclusives of Switch, everything else I play somewhere else.
