If I had enough money and was interested in getting another electric bass, this Vintara rendition of the Bass Six would easily appeal to me. I’ve got the Vintage Modified rendition from Squier. The thing I like about it is that you can play regular bass voicings on it with the Two extra strings on it for a little added harmonic variation. It appears to be a part of me that has on occasion tried emulating Victor Wooten, a player who plays both custom-made instruments that are built a standard scale but also a tenor bass. This type of model has always appealed to me as an instrument in which the two worlds intersect. I’ve never seen it as a guitar trying to be a bass or vice versa. Additionally, I’ve always played both guitar & bass with my fingers since September 1998 when I was 18. It’s a great little challenge to navigate this instrument without giving into temptation and reaching for plectra.

I got the Squire Bass VI a few months ago. I'm a bass player and it's a really interesting instrument to play, great tone and didn't realise how many songs it's been used on; Helter-skelter, Creams first album(mibby 1st three) and The Cure to name a few

Nice demo. Anyway i have to say that Anthony Pecora is super groovy with that '70s playing style!

Cool concept. But I wonder if the bassist of a band would forgo the traditional bass in lieu of the bass VI for all three sets on a gig? It seems to be more of an augment instrument, whereby you have a traditional bass guitar and then a player for this bass VI to do all the chords and lead fills.

I played a Vintera 2 50s p bass the other day, feels the same as the 50s Vintera 1, which means it plays great.

Does this come with 24 Jumbo Frets, and is this suitable to play in Drop C as a guitar with distortion? Thank you!

I couldn't help but notice that when playing lead, you did everything above the 7th fret. I have to wonder, as a guitaist, how viable it would be playing closer to the nut. Would the tone get lost in the mix? Would the physical comfort of playing such a long neck be something that I would have trouble getting used to.

Cool but… Anthony, dude, you need to stay quiet when the other guy is explaining. You don’t gotta be the star of the show, buddy. So obnoxious.
