The University of Washington has a long history of making great music. Piano instruction was first offered in 1862 and music degrees have been offered since 1911. The UW also has one of the best kept secrets in the Seattle music scene - the UW symphony orchestra. It was founded in 1898 and is still making beautiful music today. And you might be surprised to see who's in it.
