The Buddy Rich Memorial Scholarship Concert with The Buddy Rich Big Band and Dave Weckl in Los Angeles, 1989.

Tracks:
00:09 - Mercy, Mercy, Mercy
04:58 - Drum solo
08:21 - Bugle Call

Source: DVD by DCI Music Video Inc. 2006
The source is not only low resolution but also low quality and over compressed video, and badly recorded audio, so don't expect a miracle. The audio remaster was focused on the drum set and the bass.

Most fluid, melodic drummer in history. Been my #1 for over 40 years. Unbelievable as was the entire band.

One of the most musical mullets and skilled drummers to ever play! Dave’s the Goat imo

IMHO, Dave sounded much funkier in the 80ies and early 90ies than he does today.

Salon blown out mullet, trad grip so far back he’s barely holding the stick, Zildjian cymbals, cherry red recording customs. Peak Weckl.

He makes complicated drumming seem effortless. He's the GOAT of the modern day.

Wow! 4K Resolution makes 1989 look like 2019!

All the Buddy Rich Memorial concerts should be remastered in their entirety!
Looks real good.

Dave was so young with so much energy, making faces and all, giving everything on that stage.

I didn't think anyone could fill Buddy's shoes on Bugle Call Rag, but Weckl nails it here through sheer force of will! Great re-mastering job!

I've looked a few different drummers on this memorial. Dave grooves like none. Look at the rest of the band happiliy following him with their heads. Great performance, music first and it shows here.

Just a freakin monster from day one. Still setting the bar to this day ever higher..

This was the best sounding kit and cymbals he ever had. Playing over the top. Still puzzled why he left Zildjian for Sabian. His new cymbals can't touch those Zildjian K'S. Fantastic playing and production.

Ironically, the greatest mullet in music history, belongs to a jazz drummer..

Anyone know the sizes of his drums? I'm thinking 20" kick, 8" + 10" rack toms, 13" + 14" mounted floor toms, and a 12" on the left side of his hi hat
