Just a few thoughts and a correction. I live in a suburb of Sacramento, and my neighbors are greater than 50% immigrant. For the last 12 years that I've lived here in my neighborhood, It went from all speaking English to now they speak mostly Spanish followed Russian, Ukrainian, Vietnamese, Lao, Dari, Pashto, and others I'm sure. I'm the local handyman, so I have helped many of them. We can't communicate well, but they have brought me food, friendship, and a bit of business. They are welcome here.
