I am still using it because I have JB and backed up thousands of IPAs back then. There are 6 children in our family who grew up with it~ of course I changed the battery in 2020~ But if time goes back to 2010~ I will add some money to buy the 2nd generation

There's still possible way to connect on App store
Step 1: Fully enter all of your password
Step 2: Go to password and security
Step 3: Get verification code and add those numbers to your password and you're done

For reference this iPad has the same amount of ram as the new Nintendo 3DS and new Nintendo 2DS line and the iPod touch seventh generation is eight times as powerful with 2 gigabytes of ram on board with the weakest iPhone currently being sold that being the iPhone SE third gen having 3 gigabytes

Its a shame apple made these so you cant install Linux on them.
I guess they would rather just see loads of Ewaste pile up.
Not saying everyone would install linux but at least you could extend thelife of the device a few years
