Interlude: Ordinary differential equations beyond Banach spaces

We consider ordinary differential equations beyond the setting of Banach spaces. The main result is that the existence and uniqueness theory for (linear) ordinary differential equations breaks down beyond the Banach setting. This is illustrated by several concrete examples.
