He's actually staying close to stay out of the dust and have clean air to pass in for visibility.

Yes, its even better being behind the wheel of the rig behind KNOWING you have the vehicle power, ability and clean passing room ahead to blow their doors off when you FLY past them.
You can see Robby "nerf him" a couple times just a little bit before he passes, thats letting the guy in front know hat your gunna pass or punt them soon.

I prefer the passing! Sling shot right on by them and they dont even know your coming till, they are suckin your dust!

I love going fast. It is awesome to watch these two dicing back and forth at these speeds. To be that close not know what he is going to run up on is hair raising. Had my heart pounding

This shows how smart he is because he has to get close enough to have the dust blow by below him not blocking his vision so he can see to set up the pass.. But he is such a good driver that he slams the brake and avoids hitting the guy. He literally drove over bushes to get around the guy. Much respect for his skills. He RACES EVERYTHING!
