The Electorial College actually gives a lot of states a voice. Where you grow up and your upbringing heavily influences the person you are. Without the Electorial College, Major cities that are often Democratic and Liberal would easily dominate the elections every year. It actually gives regions and micro-cultures a voice

Popular vote is silly too. Rank choice voting is slightly more difficult but is fairer and ACTUALLY achieves a majority vote.

as far as i remember election day was always one day. As far as i can tell dems think protesting and eating at resturants has higher priority then voting beause you can do those in person but not voting.
