Learning that Jack Wilson is a US law shield member made up my mind for me. I just have to clear up a few financial matters and I will start paying my monthly premiums.

Would love a Q&A on how to pass along as part of a will, or otherwise to surviving family member, NFA items that are not part of an NFA Trust.

In the State of MD, you need to read and understand the VERY specific laws surrounding the transportation of firearms in a vehicle. Especially if you do not have a carry permit....

Now, are you saying that Long Guns are that way too? Like I'm a Nevada resident and My brother is a Texas resident can I gift him or vice versa and We still need to get the FFL to do a background check? He's got a CCW and I have a CCW...

Hi there, what do you call
if someone always accuse you, but
it seems he doesn’t want to bring
it on trial in the courthouse.

not a self defense question but, does being denied for a ccw, especially if in a may issue state, affect your purchases after that point?

This makes you wonder why even have a firearm then. I am a gun owner and know that most people have one for self defense reasons. However if most of the time you would go to jail and likely have to fight for your life in a since what’s the point. Kind of scary

Good morning.
I live in Minnesota and have my CCW here. Q: If my girlfriend is driving my vehicle (she does not have a CCW but I do) and I’m in the passenger seat, but the loaded handgun is in the glove box or console, can she get arrested for that loaded handgun because she is the driver? Even though I’m in the vehicle, but just not driving.
Thanks. MN CCW

What if someone breaks into my home and my 17 year old shoots the person? Would I get into trouble for this?

I wish US lawshield would work with law enforcement agencies to provide this exact same type of information to officers so we can all be on the same page. It's shocking sometimes how many law enforcement officers have no sense of the second amdt even in free states. I know that officers have been leaving certain states that have been antagonistic to LEO but when moving to work in another state they should familiarize themselves with the laws and culture of that new state they want to work in.

For example, florida has about 22mil people and about 2.6mil cw permits. Granted, some of those are issued to snow birds from states with no reciprocity (new york, mass, etc) but still over 1 in 10 floridians have a permit, and when you factor out minors it's probably more like 1 in 6 or 7 adults have permits, and god only knows how many millions of long gun owners. We don't have constitutional (permitless) carry and open carry is restricted to ranges and places you can legally hunt and fish (with permit), but florida is a relatively free (shall issue statewide) state with a healthy gun culture.

When there is an awkward situation between cw permit holder and a cop, it is very often an issue of the cop not being acclimated to working in a free state that respects the 2A. US lawshield and other groups could be just as helpful offering their time to law enforcement agencies helping cops understand the law. Then again, police chiefs generally are appointed politicians who serve the mayor and order cops to perform a certain way (like telling them to stand down as a city burns), so knowing the law is only half of the law enforcement challenge.
