Prof. Douglas W. Diamond 2022 Nobel Prize News Conference

University of Chicago Prof. Douglas W. Diamond received the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel 2022 earlier this morning. Diamond was honored at an 11 a.m. CT news conference in the David Rubenstein Forum on October 10th, 2022.

Also speaking at the event was University of Chicago President Paul Alivisatos and Dean of Booth School of Business Madhav Rajan.

Nobel prize today has internationally same scant respect as Padma awards has similar scant respect in India. Additionally Nobel prize is generally awarded to people of European nations or Americans.
