natural and organic way to get rid of Apple Worms

I have been plegged with Apple worm infestation. Every year I have a beautiful crop of apples only to have 90% fall off the tree before maturity. I alway garden 100% organic and natural. Last spring I was looking at my apple tree and noticed these little reddish bumps all over the apple tree. They looked like lady bugs without the spots. I took one off and it splattered and I realized they are the apple worms in the larvie stage. I spent the next few weeks squishing as many as I could and that crop was amazing. So this year I'm doing the same but this year I only have a few spots with the worms. Hope this helps you to rid your apple tree of apple worms.

This is fascinating! Our apples have been very wormy the past couple of years. I was going to try diatomaceous earth.

Sounds good; think I will try that.  I've seen too where people put footie sox on the apple when they are nickel-size and it keeps the coddling moth and apple maggot worms from getting into the apple.
