People kept mentioning this book in the comments and so I bought it a while ago. I've done tons of problems from this book and I love it!!

The book is called Elements of Calculus and Analytic Geometry and it was written by Thomas and Finney.

Found it ! This is MATH PORN !!! LOL !!! Subscribed !
I had a hunch that you might have a video covering the famous George B. Thomas Calculus textbook.
When I used it in high school in the 1970's, only Thomas was the listed author. I LOVED THAT BOOK !
My understanding is that Ross L. Finney collaborated with Thomas on other editions. After Finney's death, the book became simply THOMAS' CALCULUS. Cheers.

By the way, in your other (more hard core) MATH PORN video covering the earlier and also famous Louis Leithold Calculus textbook ("The Calculus Book That Changed The World"), you mentioned that you never took a college chemistry course.
That amazes me. Surely, you have taken physics courses. I think I saw some physics books in the background in your other video. Newton....developed calculus for physics. I think Leibniz who was also a philosopher was motivated by pure mathematics (??). Do you happen to know off hand ? I like your channel.

Not sure if it was covered before but "Thomas' Calculus" 12th edition helped me a lot when I was taking Calc in University.

Another book with similar content is Calculus and Analytic Geometry by Simmons. Like all books by Simmons, it is exceptionally well written.

I actually bought this book by mistake. I was shopping online for Thomas' calculus and bought this one instead. Turns out, wasn't a mistake after all. The book is amazing.

Ok you can actually get this one for just a few dollars. But better grab one before all the Sorcerer's viewers drive up the price.

In my freshman year in college, we switched books -- a common theme in every class, oddly -- and I still have the Arthur Simon book I used back in '83-'84.

I love this book. I learned so much math outside Calculus from this book.

Just ordered the book. Thank you. I love the smell my older text books. My wife and kids make fun of me for it. I'm not alone so that's nice. Tangent: Long time ago, my 8-year-old son once told me, "Dad, math books are sad. They have too many problems."

I have been using Thomas Calculus Early Transcendentals 13th edition and I've really loved it for the most part. I would love to know how they compare. I've heard a lot of good things about these older, original versions by the actual Thomas.

I've been thinking about getting one of them, especially if they could be similar enough to utilize alongside the modern versions.

It would really really make my day of the great Math Sorcerer could compare and contrast these older versions with the new Thomas calculus books if you've ever used them!
