Mafia: Definitive Edition - Classic Difficulty Race - EASY WAY

If you’re playing Mafia on classic difficulty, you may have come across a very hard race. I too got here and failed and failed and failed. Years later I found a video or two that showed similarly what you’re seeing here but the spot in which I was showed to park wasn’t working for me.

I found that parking where I do in this video causes the drivers to not crash into you so hard and allows you to keep your sideways position. Even still, it may take multiple tries. Don’t give up because once this race is done, the rest of the game isn’t so bad. I still died a lot finishing this game but this race… this is the hard part. Keep at it and don’t give up. That trophy has your name on it.

The funniest thing to me is you know this glitch was found because someone got do tilted they said "fuck it" and started driving backwards. 😂😂

Can confirm after trying other guides on this method, this one worked first try, even with accidentlly lettings two cars out ahead of me.

Works 8/17/2024. Thanks man, was struggling with the other cheese guides. The position where you put the car was the best of all of them and it worked first try.

ADVICE: Patience is key and copy this video EXACTLY. After dozens of failed attempts I looked carefully at the exact position of the car in this video and replicated it and voila! I got it first time. Now, in the first pile up roughly 5 cars escaped and continued the race but do not restart, just wait for them to do another lap and then smash into the back of the pile. Again, a few cars escaped and continued the race but eventually they all bundled up exactly like this video (although none tipped over). Roughly 4/5 cars at the front of the pack began to emit dark smoke and were stuck in place (not sure if they had broken down as a result of damage or if it glitches out) but I moved my car out the way and the front cars did not move. Then complete the race yourself being very mindful when passing by this corner and you'll have it in no time. Again, patience is key, keep replicating this exact method and I have no doubt you'll get it eventually. Put a podcast on while doing it to distract yourself so it doesn't become mind numbly boring,

This is pure luck. Every time some of the cars go through. Even if everyone gets blocked the moment I drive off they all start coming too. Sometimes they're still and others they're constantly reversing to be able to get out of the pile up. You also can't pusht he other cars into worse positions if it means moving the slightest bit will allow another carthrough.

IDK how this mission didn't SINK this franchise. To think this came out back when there was no online updates!?!? The fact this POS mission never got updated is insane.

Another tip on this mission is there are 3 scripted exits from the race. They happen 1 per lap. The first car is the car you sabotage in the mission before, then two more cars will wreck on each subsequent lap. All you need to secure victory is to pile up 12 racers in the turn. As you pass them each lap, the game will subtract the additional car from the pile.
