Coefficient of Friction Testing Methods

This video demonstrates how to determine accurate coefficients of friction on cable jackets. Three different test methods are shown to compute coefficient of frictions; Polywater’s friction table, Polywater’s multi-bend tester, and the Telcordia Reel test method. Back tension and sidewall pressure are applied to more accurately calculate coefficient of frictions.
