Eduardo Xol, the beloved designer from *Extreme Makeover: Home Edition*, passed away on September 20 after being stabbed in a Palm Springs apartment. The 58-year-old was found injured on September 10 and was in serious condition when taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. The Riverside County Coroner's Office confirmed his death on September 24.

The incident began when police responded to a call from Xol, who reported the stabbing but did not identify his assailant. Following an investigation, Richard Joseph Gonzales, 34, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after he called the police claiming to have been assaulted. He is currently being held without bail while murder charges are sought against him.
