A scene not mentioned here. Humphrey, henry's youngest brother also fought agincourt. He was injured and fell. Henry stood over him and fought off the french soldiers and had part of his battle crown cut off in the effort. Iconic.

Great video and telling of a fascinating individual in history. Truly, King Henry V has been told over and over again. He still is the greatest king of the era, of dynasty and of two kingdoms. He could have transformed France as well as England for the better. A greater king has England not seen since King Henry V.

As a point of interest, in 1405, over two thousand French troops landed in Pembrokeshire, Wales after Owain Glyndwr had signed an alliance with Charles the VI of France. The French force subsequently joined with the Welsh ; this Franco-Welsh force of approximately 12, 000 actually invaded England - stopping short of Worcester.
A significant but little known event in British

This is on its way to becoming the best profile series on the kings of England.
It's consistent and conscise, but also very detailed.
No annoying shifts from one narrator to another.
I wish everyone who's involved in this project good luck with the monarchs of the wars of the roses, it could be the toughest part.
I also hope that it continues ending with Elizabeth I

Good stuff. I would like to have heard more about Henry's face wound and the arrow extraction that was performed by the "physician" who was imprisoned for counterfeiting by Henry's father prior to the surgery. Look forward to Henry the sixth and his disasterous reign.

One of the huge what-if’s not just of English but European history.. who knows what England and France would look like now had Henry V not died so young. Not only would he have sat on both thrones but also could’ve produced at least one other son..

the arrow through his face is very interesting. He lift his visor for a spilt second and a deflect arrow went into his face and stuck in the back of his skull missing all vital parts. the after the battle when they removed the arrow, the head was left in the skull. so they operated on him opened the wound and with pliers they pulled the head out. Amazing

Another great video 👍 I’ve often wondered what would have happened if Henry V had not died so young. He likely would have been king of France and if he could have raised Henry VI and also had more children, these may have prevented the wars of the roses. Also Catherine of Valois wouldn’t have been with Owen Tudor and all the implications of that. I don’t think there are many kings that had left such ineptness/weakness behind them or died at such a pivotal time in their reigns.

Such an outstanding king. In my opinion he's the best king we have ever had and he rivals Edward III's reign with his conquests in France. A paragon of English Kingship indeed however I've often seen people argue that because of his great achievements how could Henry VI fill a legacy like his father's without living in his shadow? Thanks for the video. He is a hero to me and I have learnt even more about my favourite historical figure 😀
