Why I Wear the Same Clothes Every Day

At one point I ran out of closet space so I stored clothes under my bed. I worked at 3 large retailers and had hundreds of clothes, shoes, and accessories. But here's why I now wear the same exact clothes every single day.

Hi Ali, big fan. However, I noticed a little hypocrisy in this video. You stated no one really cares what other people wear. However you made judgements on people who wore flashy or designer clothing as losers. It just doesn’t add up to me. Not hating on you, just some logic from you doesn’t make sense to me

I did this for a year specifically for work & absolutely loved it. I bought 3 of the same shirts from Banana republic, and styled it differently everyday. The key is to splurge on pieces that will last. & eliminates decision fatigue.

I remember what my friends wore even 3 years ago. For girls, clothes and fashion is a personality thing. It’s really important to us. Today I was going out to meet a friend. And I just randomly experimented with a totally different style. That made my day and my mood at least x5 better. Fashion is so much fun. And experimenting with it adds a different dimension to someone’s personality. I’ve noticed guys don’t really care about their style as much. But the one’s that do really stand out. Like I remember seeing this overweight guy’s Instagram page. And it was mostly geared towards style and clothes. And even though he was overweight. He knew how to look good. Decent style also really ups your confidence.

I’m decluttering my closet (and life) and I’ve found it easier to wear only a few simple pieces. And Ali makes a good point… No one ever remembers what we wear in the gym. We spend so much time thinking about what others think… really no one cares
