Pipe Bomb detonated by EDU in Surrey BC

RCMP required the EDU (Explosive Disposal Unit) to detonated (5:44) a possible pipe bomb that was found in a parking lot of the Kwantlen University Newton Campus.
The area was evacuated including 2 classrooms and large parking lot. After scene was assessed, the EDU used their robot to safely detonate the pipe in the parking protected by sand bags. No one was injured. Surrey Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance stood by in case of any fire and/or injuries.
