Let's get our history right here. Japanese have been getting wild in Tokyo and Osaka long before nuisance foreigner streamers showed up. Japan is not your playground foreigners... it's ours.

Recently, I’ve seen some extremely TOXIC streamers who travel just to be a NUISANCE. I’m hoping their court cases end up being MADE PUBLIC…so others will rethink their intentions. Thank you ANMING for trying to dissuade this type. Stay Safe and Positive’’ORIENTAL PEARL’. Fortunately, we all have the same exotic neighbors as well. 🙋🏻‍♀️🌸🌿☀️ N. California

These shorts are great. I like the content. A lot of people never see this side of Japan but it's all here. As structured and polite of a place as this is. People are people where ever you go. No matter where you go or what you do just remember there's always that 10 percent it's just a fact.

At least the Samurai prank is harmless for the most part

I arrived in Tokyo in 1989. The quality of westerners has decreased drastically. With the plummeting yen and the anime craze far more idiots are coming to Japan. When I came over people tried to learn the language and tried to fit in. I'm embarrased by some of the behaviore I see. I don't find the Japanese response to be racist at all.

Here's the thing: If I wanna sit around in my underwear in my flat, that's fine. But if guests come over, I'd be really weirded out if they just stripped without even asking if it's okay. Btw, it usually is not okay.

Foreigners are held to a higher standard because they are "guests" in the country, and can be removed at any time. So be on your best behavior as a foreigner.

Actual Japanese citizens can do whatever they want in their own country. It's the same logic as:

>"I bought and paid for this house. If I want to paint this house bright pink, then nobody can tell me no! But YOU are a GUEST in my house and have no say. You are lucky I even let you stay here."

Same idea.

It makes sense for you to say this Pearl because you live in japan and are well mannered, probably running into well mannered foreigners all the time as well. But the real issue is vanity streamers setting a bad precedent about how to act in Japan. I completely agree with the Japans governments take on the warning and it should be taken seriously.

To be fair, guests should be held to a higher standard than the people who own it. A resident of a house can put their feet on the table but a guest shouldn't

Japan (and Asia) is also not your particular human zoo:
“Look how they react when I speak their language”
🤦‍♂️

I can act a fool in my own house. That doesn’t make it ok for YOU to come and act a fool with me.

i found it funny when they went after that streamer for the cherry blossom tree when i see that from japanese people every single weekend, Japanese people think they are infallible living in a utopia but having lived here for 10 years is far far from it and 98% of the issues have nothing to do with foreigners at all.

Thank you for showing Japan also has its drawbacks and the pink pictures so many people paint of it don't actually correspond to reality.
Your face expressions are priceless!😂 They say so much and with such style that no words are needed😊🎉!

Well compared to what foreigners did….. this is quite tame…..Esp when he isn’t throwing a snowball at an employee doing his job and splitting his lip….

Same here in Thailand, many things Thais get away with that I would end up in jail or deported.

I think the biggest takeaway from all of this is that any country would love to just kick out any troublemaker regardless of citizenship. Sadly its against the human rights charter to deport your own citizens (unless they hold double citizenship) 😅 So i dont blame any country for just banning and deporting the troublemakers they can.

Most Japanese people mind their own work and they did not care for foreigners unless you start to talk with them 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵

Well to be fair you dont see many Japanese pulling that stuff off in other countries and intentionally tries to disrespect the local culture in the process.
That seem to be an American speciality...

Whilst I can see the double standards, is it a social etiquette thing where "foriegners" may not understand certain cultural ques, nuances etc.???
