Four Consuls General on Emerging Tech in Asia

SAN FRANCISCO, May 19, 2022 — Asia Society Northern California hosts a panel discussion and cultural reception with San Francisco consuls general from India, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Australia. The participants include Neil Frank R. Ferrer, consul general of the Republic of the Philippines in San Francisco; Prasetyo Hadi, consul general of the Republic of Indonesia in San Francisco; Ambassador T.V. Nagendra Prasad, consul general of India in San Francisco; and Odette Hampton, deputy consul general and trade and investment commissioner at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade).

The consuls general discussed new and innovative technologies being developed in the featured countries, the fostering of talent to support growing global demand, the upcoming G20 Summit in Bali, the speakers' outlooks on the innovation ecosystems in Asia in 2022 and beyond, and the advancements of start-ups and unicorns in Australia, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
