Guys, you must never open the door for anyone without confirming that it's one of the staff there first, especially at a hotel. This security measure applies to basic self-defense. I was more worried that he was going to get robbed or worse.

I gotta admit, the salesman at #3's got some balls to immediately check on the knockings, even after hearing it come from his own bathroom. That, and how he still managed to sleep soundly with all the lights off after that

The knocking on the door reminds me on many r/nosleep rules story. Like when you're in a hotel, you'll have some strange set of rules, like: "Between 11 pm to 1 am, you will hear any random knocking on the door. This might occurs more than once during that period. If you order a room service previously, check through a peekhole to confirm it is a waitress. If you see a waitress, you can safely open your door, but if you see someone else or nobody, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR under any circumstances, even if what you see might be your family member, close relatives, or colleagues. We do not allowed a guest visit during that period of time."

I had a friend who moved into a house she shared with her sister they would both hear knocking frequently especially at night, they were sure the house was haunted but it turned out to be air in the water pipes, once the plumber had fixed the pipes they never heard the knocking again.

My parents and relatives have stories of these kinds of encounters. It’s widely believed to be wandering spirits of car accident victims. It is indeed a real paranormal encounter. They are told to be full or faint apparitions endlessly wandering.
