Walmart Malibu rc boat modified

I used to have one of those boats as a kid!! I want to buy a cheap boat like that and swap some part from my rc cars into it would be a cool project for me when I go out on the lake.

What motor mount did you use? Im trying to build a boat similar and have most parts except for a motor mount

I did this project because I can. The money I spent on this project was not much because I already have most of the parts. I made this video to show what can be done with a toy grade boat and inspire people who want to do a similar project. So Aaron, if the money is your concern then keep it to yourself. It shows everyone that you may not have the skills to do a build like this.

I think the motor is too powerful for the scale of the boat. That's why it's torque rolling to the right when you apply full power.

seems to me you need a little more weight in the front, that will take the bounce out of it when you're at higher speeds. Just a thought. Great build though.

You could add weight to the nose and would probably go a bit faster
