Watching Rantanen on the top line with Robertson and Roope was pretty great.. He stepped right in and was playing great hockey with these two. Lead to an assist on a PPG, and just over all play making. I really like Logan Stankoven and hope he does well with the Canes ( he will ). But man.. the play offs are just gonna be a straight up coast to coast dog fight for the finals.. Super excited!!

Marchand wasn’t our only big move. Grabbing Nico Sturm who is an excellent 4C that wins face offs and kills penalties, as well as Vitek Vanacek to back up Bob, who immediately got a shutout in his debut. The Panthers are going to be scary deep come on playoff time again.

After tonight I’m feeling more content about what happened with Rantanen. This year was supposed to be more of a transition year anyway as we made room for some actual cap space, and we now have what we need to really build up a good roster. It helps that Jank and Stank both played great tonight.

Rantanen - 4 pts in 2 games with Stars - 2 goals 2 assists. Yeah - Stars lost to Edmonton in his first game, but nearly came back from 4-1 down.... I'm happy with the trade.
