In this lesson we'll take an introductory look at air or pneumatic motors. We'll learn to interpret pertinent data on an air motor data sheet and how air motor manufacturer's account for different load induced pressures on air motor data sheets. Additionally, we'll briefly examine the internal construction of vane style, turbine style, and radial and axial piston style air motors. (Part 1 of 2)
