This video covers the newest release of Mabox Linux 22.2. Mabox uses Openbox WM and lightweight apps, which makes it minimal and fast.
It only takes ~300Mb of memory. Also, Mabox is built on top of Manjaro stable branch, powered by LTS kernel, featuring 100% complete and stable Openbox window manager.

Mabox is HIGHLY customizable and lightweight. Took some time to configure appearance, but it was worth it! with 4 gb of RAM I don't use swap at all for daily tasks

I have been looking for a highly customizable, lightweight, and stable distro that works great out of the box that looks good and has a good feel to it. After trying many different distros, I have finally found what I was looking for with Mabox! I am absolutely enjoying using Mabox. Thanks for the video. I use Mabox on an old Macbook to give it a new lease of life and it runs a treat.The store sounds good to me.

Two weeks ago, I got an update on Manjaro that broke a dependency deep within. Now my system will not boot if I'm using my 3070 Ti. I was already planning on reinstalling my OS and mabox just looks amazing. I think I'll give this one a go!

I have tried many distros in the past month. This is BY FAR my favorite. It is the fastest of everything I've tried in a vm. MX was what I was using but will likely use this on some real hardware. Awesome distro - never heard of it before. Thanks so much for the video!

Ran Mabox from USB 3 key. The best Openbox implementation I've seen, - far better (IMHO) than the Manjaro Openbox offering. Speedy, easy to use, good workflow and low resource usage. The best distro for me within the wider Arch family of distros. I will stick with Fedora & OpenSuSE as first choices, but Mabox is a great rolling release. Nothing but positives to say about it. That looks like a great implementation of Openbox. I use Lubuntu atm with Openbox as WM, but I will give this a shot when I switch to rolling-release. This could be a contestor to LXQt and other lightweight DEs

I've done nothing but openbox setups for well over a decade. Debians. All of them booted well under 100 mb loaded with scripts, corner bindings, works.What people call lightweight nowadays, well...

It looks great. Why did Manjaro drop support for Openbox? They used to have a community edition, didn't they?
