Synopsis: A middle-class father Ricardo takes his two daughters to their lakeside family house in southern Chile. Out on a yacht one day, they see three young local fishermen waving at them from another boat which is rapidly taking on water. Ricardo refuses to go and help, arguing they look suspicious, much to his older daughter's exasperation. His prejudices will be the beginning of a tense journey that will not end well.

I am in about 1/4 of the Movie. Looks like very good one, I don't understand the low rating ! ?? For me certainly much more, than some 5, 8 !!!

This man did not raise her daughters well. Or maybe the movie writer did not raise the father well to raise the daughters well.

Question: With all the technologies available, why do they lack communication with the authorities who can do the search and rescue? The viewers know that these three men stuck in the water were locals. But the point is the father, with a yacht, and two daughters, did not have a radio to communicate with authorities.

Also, why did the people continue the search for someone who is unsearchable? The father should be alpha. Therefore, he should insist on running to the authority to do the search. After all, they ain't related.

One died in vain in the end. A big LOL.
