It's important to stress that the 12 o'clock rule, is simply a trainers guideline, the Highway code makes no mention of it. Some ahead exits, are past 12 o'clock, but make no sense to move to the right.

Second exits comes After 12, so you have to move into right lane and then signals to left before the exit.

They crossed over to the right from a left lane meant for the first exit. This is a unique roundabout. Even the satnav says bear right.

Chose the wrong lane on approaching the roundabout.

2 lanes going in & they entered by the left hand one. Although there are no lane markings on the roundabout itself, they encroached far too right when they should have kept left. The satnav can be ignored with entering by the righthand lane as there are no road marking to to signify that is the only lane applicable. The satnav is only a guide & you must do what the actual markings tell you to do.
