No surprises there for me. This is the camera I've been waiting for since it was announced. Battery life is taken care of with a stack of 15C's that I have for the Z6II and the other issues really don't bother me. Thanks for a great and informative video Steve...👌

It’s a little crazy when you consider reviewers already say the Z9 competes very well against the Sony A1, for less, and now you have the Z8 which should also compete against the A1 for $3999. Nikon is being very aggressive, even if it means they will be selling many less Z9s now.

I will never understand why using this camera in DX mode except for having less megapixel. Otherwise just shoot fullframe and crop your image as desired...

As a D850 shooter. I think these cameras in this same range are about perfect for me. My shooting is wildlife and scenics did and a little street.

I am currently using Nikon D850 with 200-500 lens with few other Nikon glasses(all fx lenses, 70-200 f2.8, 16-35 f4, 24-120 f4 & 105mm f2.8 macro), I was waiting for something affordable option from Nikon with 20fps and 4k @120fps 10bit apple prores, I am just a hobby photographer want to put some quality work... what do you recommend sir, and if you share some tips what to focus on to improve, how to approach photography to do some quality work, I will be grateful to you... Z9 FW 4.0 vs Z8 - any AF differences (other than plane mode), even subtle?

Very simple solution for buffer for “backup” shooters: set to overflow, but use the internal file copy feature in the menu to periodically back your CF ExpressCard up to SD, that way you are maximizing buffer AND routinely keeping your files backed up. The back up is quite fast.
