I got to sit in the 1963 Mustang #2 while it was in storage at Owl's Head Musuem in Maine about 10 years ago. Lucked out because one employee overheard that our family owns a "Classic Mustang Business", so he decided to bring us to an extra storage warehouse to show us something "cool." I was 12 years old? Maybe? Still one of the most memorable car moments of my life. I believe it's now back in Detroit sitting next to #1. Same paint scheme. Lightly crazed and cracked original white paint all around. No rust that I recall though... very unique engine too. Very unique HiPo 289. We took lots of pictures that day!

Nice display. Too bad those running the event didn't include the rarest production Mustang ever built. If you attended and somehow missed the 50 rare cars tent in the parking lot, you missed the best part of the Charlotte event.
