I'd like to be able to buy food without corn syrup in it. Our "free market" doesn't work here. Lobbying like this corrupts the free market. Voting for leaders and legislaters doesn't even seem to make a difference.

The corn industry is nervous because more people are choosing real sugar as a sweetener rather than corn syrup. If the corn industry wants to stay relevant and not become obsolete like Blockbuster Video because people are making smarter decisions, then they better start producing clean fuel E-85 Ethanol with their corn. That's a healthier option for people and the planet and also gives the corn farmers a reason to continue to produce.

The meat dairy and eggs industries have been writing the dietary guidelines for years just for some context. If we had a system that makes sense dietitians and doctors would be writing the guidelines.
