If you know Latin the Clue would give Mortem and that should give you Morticia!

Got it but only just at the last second.

I knew those high school Latin classes would pay off one day.

Very easy if you speak a Romance language.

You're not going to believe this. I was going to say Addams Family but didn't because I forgot there was an AF show on. And I love Wednesday

I thought it was Uncle Fester since Fester means to rot, right show but wrong family member! 🤣🤣

Had a feeling it was Addams Family, but couldn't think of the character

I thought of "mort" and then was thinking of characters. It wasn't Morty from Rick and Morty, but then I thought of Morticia

Got it at the last moment. Kept thinking it was some Star Trek character, given the dates. Then it occurred to me that Morticia also fit.

ngl, last time I remember feeling so confident in getting a Final Jeopardy response correct was when the clue was about Video Games. I sure felt confident about this one!

Yay me. 😄

Took me a bit I was trying to work out how Perry Mason might be something to do with death at first ha ha but then it came to me like a bolt of lightning!!

Absolutely couldn't think of it at all. I immediately thought of "memento mori", latin for "remember you will die", so I figured that "mori" means "death", but the only thing I could think of from TV with a name that sounded like that was... Maury Povich! Not even the same spelling, and not a "TV character" the way that I assumed they meant, but I probably would've put that down to be silly; if I don't think of an obviously correct response halfway through the song, there's almost no chance that I'll get it.

And then like one second before the correct answer was revealed it came to me! Oh well!

I saw the 1960s and 2020s part of the clue and got stuck thinking about Doctor Who. There aren't many television franchises which have lasted that long, and that's the only one that came to mind.

Fun fact: The last time The Addams Family was the answer on Final Jeopardy was on Christine Whelchel's second game!
The question was: Introduced in the 1930s in The New Yorker, they've appeared on TV & Broadway & in live action & animated films.
