Years ago, my family and I were at Bumping Lake Campground, on the eastern side of the Lake. No one was there but the camp host, which we didn't see. It was a lovely day in July, blue skies, warm, and wonderful. We went to the boat ramp, and then walked past the bathroom, just south of the boat ramp, down the small embankment to the narrow shoreline, and looked at a small island about 200 feet from the shore. There was driftwood around the shoreline, floating in the water, and it was there that we all felt something eerie in the air.

We didn't say anything at the time, but my hackles stood on end. We compared notes later and we all felt the same thing. I felt something similar in the air while visiting a small vault toilet just a half hour before, while touring the campground. This was over ten years ago, and about a month after this incident, I read an old report written in the 1800's, that there was some kind of ambush predator that would leap out of the water and pull in an Indian Brave who might have fallen too far behind on the trail that encircled Bumping Lake at the time. William O. Douglas, who grew up in a house near Camp Fife, wrote that while on horseback, he saw a large creature frolicking in the shallows, and making waves at Bumping Lake, but he did not describe its appearance.

I like it when you show beautiful scenery instead of this white screen.
Its more appealing.

I never listen to bigfoot researchers. Just encounters.
Strange how the researchers are always inarticulate and repetitive and boring interviews

If I could muster a decent "woop" like his, I'd be out every night searching!
