A few days ago I went to a treasure island and got the max amount of bells. I didn't know what to do with it, so I gave away about 300, 000, 000 bells. I kept telling ppl that I was breaking the animal crossing economy lol

The easiest way to start making bells immediately is to plant and grow fruit that isn't native to your island and sell it at Nook's Cranny. Keep growing trees, fruit, and sell. It's not a money tree, no, but it's still a healthy amount of bells that you can use.

usually i craft 5-10 of every hot item available at nooks and sell them each day. the profit is extremely variable, but not only does it net me some extra bells but it also counts towards the nook miles stamp.

I imagine you don't want to be told you need another DIY recipe. But the most reliable, fastest (in terms of real time) way to make bells in the game in my experience is to craft piles of cash and sell them on a day they are a hot item, with the bell boom ordinance. The resource cost is 0; just print money by crafting, starting with 300, 000 bells.
The good news is the recipe comes from snooty characters, unlike the blue rose recipes which are a low chance from any character. If you fill your town with snooty characters you can get the DIY recipe a little less painfully.
Then you have to time travel to get the correct hot item, which will be more tedious if you have more crafting recipes unlocked. But once you get the right one you can keep time traveling to keep it on the same day forever and it'll never change, letting you grind for cash as efficiently as possible for as long as you want.

Now why would anyone do this? I once had the stupid idea of getting to 1 billion bells in my bank to match the "bellionaire" title. Even this would have been too slow for that to be reasonable, so I stopped after reaching a couple hundred million. Regardless, I guarantee you from experience that it is less time consuming than filling an entire island with an item, at least in the vanilla gameplay experience.

I watched the whole series for this but I'm still watching the recap. I tried to do the "turnip market" and failed. So i basically just caught bugs and sold them to flick. Easy way to earn bells if you're good at catching them.

Not long after the game came out, I hustled on the turnip market including having people visit my island when I had a high buy rate at my store and raked in $18mil.
4 years later I still have $15mil of that. At the time I was laughing with my nephew that this would probably see me through however long I played the game>_<
