My seat belt had issues retracting; wouldn't retract unless it was fed through. I washed it in a bucket of water with laundry detergent and it did absolutely nothing. Belt would still not retract. What DID WORK was using sand paper to clean the D-ring (I used 100 grit). It worked perfectly.

I washed the belt and it helped a little but the sandpaper trick worked like a charm!!! I was all set to take my car to the shop. THANK YOU!!!

Failed WOF Just came back from AA Auto centre they told me it would cost me $300+ or min $280, followed your instructions and it’s working better then rest of the three seat belts

I too have a very very slow seat belt recovery! Each time I get into the drivers seat I'm having to adjust it making sure it's snug! I will try cleaning it! Many thanks!

Hi, thanks for your video! I also had an additional seat belt issue but can’t find any info anywhere. My shoulder height adjuster is stuck in the highest position somehow, I can’t seem to figure out why, do you have a video doing a repair on this? Or maybe you can help?
