One year! I can't believe a year has gone by since I picked up the RS5 and what a year it has been! There's been ups and downs and this video will highlight all you need to know about Audi RS ownership and if I regret my decision choosing this over something else. Was it worth it? Time to find out sooner than later! I have probably missed out a couple of things and I will mention those in the pinned comment 😳😅

Ah yes! I forgot about the doors! You can't lock the doors with the engine on which is annoying in hot climates! What else did I forget?

I own a Coupe version and 100% agree with you review. Besides all of this issues, totally love. Another good point is that you can adjust loudness of the engine switching from comfort/auto mode to sport/RS mode. Btw, leather gloves is a good option for alcantara wheel.

I just got the same car same color except the black out mirror cover, black calipers (just trying to be special lol), and the other rims for half a year now! I am really glad still seeing you having it!!!

In every video you see with RS5 you see the driver smiling like he/she is a kid I get my 2022 Sportback RS5 next week...sooo excited coming from an A5 Sportback (2018) which was a dream to drive till the last

Hi, I am huge fan of Audi RS5 and RS4 models. Thanks for the review on 1 year ownership experience. I lived in Bahrain for 5 years and heard lot of complaints about brake noise. Due to high outside temperature, the brake pads and discs gets excessive temperature than other which makes noisy. All other car brands have this issue. Keep update.

I own a S5(modded, so a bit more fun) and planning to update to an RS. Initially I wanted an RS7 but a lot of people (like you) said that I should just go with the 5...I think I am convinced now, I love the B9 platform so why change...

Man I can't tell you how happy I am with my 21 Sportback.. I am in Canada and I got a set of Conti snows on it!!! Flying through our easy coast snow storm last week so much fun!

I have a 2019 RS5 sportback and love it...best all rounder I have ever owned. Lovely GT comfortable cruiser and an animal when you want it to be. Had it 4 years now and started looking for a face lift version.
Im surprised at some of your comments tho. Yes I have squeaky brakes. The seatbelt rattle I dont suffer from. Now I could be confusing this with my previous AMG C43 but either that or this car have a magnet inside the side of the seat to keep the buckle from rattling against the chair or side frame.
My suspension is great in all settings, very compliant. I would say even the hardest setting is softer than the AMGs softest setting. That cars ride was just too hard and crashy and the reason I got rid of it after 4 years.

I've ordered the 2023 RS5S in the same white color as you. I've been tracking you for a year and really like the white. By the way, I also purchased the Competition Plus and I see it has a lot of changes, this includes new shift logic as well as the new sport suspension, I hope the problems you encountered Audi have been seriously considered and achieved new achievements on the 2023.

Really enjoyed your video! Im upgrading my S4 Avant to a S5 Sportback next month. The laugh u get when going full send into the corner makes me smile too hahah! My S4 is stage1+ and just as quick as a stock RS5 so i have the same smile everyday when going true the corner. Also very informative ty for sharing!

I own a 2018 S4 and can say that the seatbelt rattles in mine as well. It is quite an annoyance but overall a fantastic vehicle and i love it!

Trying to decide between an RS5 or an RS7, I hope to find a video done as well as this for the RS7 but so far you’ve convinced me on the RS5. It sounds good too! Looks much better than the other 2 German cars.

Oh crap you acknowledged "not being happy" about a comment I just shared about being happy to see it lol... well, everything will pass (to include dirty seatbacks) & it's my experience that we as parents will come to miss it... even the otherwise minor stuff.
The seatbelt rattle!!!! Omigosh what an absolute annoyance! My S5 had this, so when I moved to the RS5, I brought my soft latch covers with me haha. Tested it for the 15-min drive home from the dealer & then applied them bc that was too much banging around on gentle roads.

Am inclined to agree with you on brake sound, but then my QV and CTS also had the issue: it was easy here bc I grew up on race cars & they'd shut their motors off 1/2 mi away, then just coast in. Quiet as could be, until they had to hit their marks, then sQueEEallL SQueEeEaaaAKKK to stop. Hey, if you don't like it, then may that be the ONLY sign you give me so far as "not knowing anything about racing!" 🤣 (I kid you not: even my 1200hp dragster neighbor couldn't convince the others until the new Porsche 911 GT2 showed up & presented his daily-driver case, "it's just the way they are; I ordered it this way"): high-friction brakes are a lot like owning a pickup truck, where there's gonna be dents n scratches bc the truck GOT USED, so shall there be squeals n whines from a well-used set of pads n rotors. 🤙

Looking forward to the mods when you're ready! Esp so far as that granite suspension goes! (Audi missed the boat regarding 'stiffer = perceived more firm = better on a track' goes... bc the 4 rings clearly missed the mark.

I sold my 21 plate RS5 carbon back in October because I was offered a price I couldn’t refuse. I’ve missed it so much I’ve just ordered another carbon sport back. I can’t wait to drive one again. Only 16 weeks wait so not too bad. Had a white one last time, going for Mythos black this time. It’s a very special car.
