My name is Alyssa Matesic, and I’m a professional book editor with 7+ years of book publishing and editorial experience. Throughout my career, I’ve held editorial roles across both sides of the publishing industry: Big Five publishing houses and literary agencies. What if the author doesn't have any credentials? (Other then as a long time hobbyist? I've been writing stories for myself for 15 years, I got almost a dozen at this point)

I don't have any degrees, I'm not published anywhere else, I haven't won any contests/awards and I'm not apart of any organization... and I'm not interested in doing any of that (plus I don't have the money.)

I wasn't even planning on putting my stories out there at first. I'm not expecting much. I just wanna write my books, buff em" till they shine and release them upon the world, that’s it.

Will any agency agree to work with me even if I live in Africa or Asia? And if they agreed how will we sign a contract?

Oh, dear. I thought impressive author credentials are not necessary if your memoir is very well written and relevant.
