Ya gotta love the Canada US special relationship. The longest unprotected border in the world. We tried to kill each other in 1812, but realised we'd destroy each other if we did, so after that, we've literally had each other's backs. No one would dare attack Canada for fear of the US, and we have always had the assurance that Canada would back us up, cause they'd be next. There are very few super nations that existed so close to each other that have had such good relations. Very unique and somewhat wholesome.

In terms of actual people, Canada can be thought of as a set of islands in an archipelago a few miles north of the American border.

I love how the guy talks so calmly about Afghanistan.😂😂

The British: Convention warfare
The Soviets: Unrelenting violence
The USA: Nation builder

These are pretty modern assumptions of Afghanistan, Russia and China. In the past the Mongols controlled ALL of China as the Yuan Dynasty, aswell as Afghanistan and Russia. The map at 3:46 does not show it at its max. peak. Afghanistan is only the graveyard of colonial empires, as it was invaded and ruled by persian, arab, greek and turkish dynasties for a long time. For Russia even if you dont count the successfull older invasions by Sweden and the mongels, the central power showed that Russia can still be successfully invaded in relative modern times.

Switzerland isn't on it, I am sad

Although invading us is arguably kinda easy, but you'll have to deal with guerilla warfare out of the alps for the forseeable future

Australia should be a notable mention. Some of the best military technology globally, borders no countries, and is only near islands. Is allies with the US and much of europe, and has a very harsh terrain on the north and west, which is where most countries invading might be located.

Petition for drew to make tier list of countries by how hard it would be to invade them: Day 1

I' ve always thought that no country is impossible to invade for any of the big three i.e. US, China & India if they are willing to throw enough resources and men at the problem. Key thing is if they are willing to shoulder the losses that might come with it.

Difficult to invade and difficult to occupy or hold are two different things Drew.

I feel like they forgot about Canada's coastline, that could be used for an invasion to bypass the need to invade from the south.

What they fail to mention here is that North Korea has built a extensive system of tunnels in the mountains practically making the terrain itself hostile to any invading forces. That is the actual reason why North Korea would be very, very hard to invade and it's pretty up there with China and Afghanistan even without help from its allies.

There is a reason Canadians always say sorry.

*Over half the Geneva Convention was implented because of what we did...*

I love my Canadian brothers and sisters, if their sovereignty was ever threatened i would fight shoulder to shoulder with them. That being said i think the U.S. could steamroll Canada, no nukes, no allies.

Depending on if you mean hold or capture Brazil or Mexico would be good options. Brazil would be easy to take with most major cities trapped between the coast and the nearby mountains. But holding it, zero chance Amazon guerilla war is not fun. On the opposite side Mexico has a difficult to reach capital buuuut once you reach it, one very easy to hold place.

Petition for Drew to make a series covering Ace Combat and its multiple universes: [Day 296]

The 296 is a two-seater, offered as a GTB coupé, and a GTS folding hard-top convertible. A plug-in hybrid, its power train combines a 120-degree block-angle V6, with twin turbos and an electric drive fitted in between the engine and gearbox.[clarification needed] The 296 can be driven in electric-only mode for short distances, to comply with use in urban zero-emission zones.

It’s says a lot about society that Afghanistan is seen as unconquerable because of recent failures when in the whole of history is has been successfully conquered many, many times and held sometimes for centuries

Im sure that Chile would be very hard to invade, its basically entirely hiding behind or in the andes kinda like switzerland in the alps but at larger scale
