Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals

Quick look at Saitek's Saitek Pro Flight Combat Rudder Pedals. I would have found a video like this useful when I was looking to purchase a set, but all I could find were videos of older pedals and advertising videos consisting of a few pictures and an Amazon link...

I'm not the best at videos, but hopefully this one is useful for someone :).

I prefer these over the regular Saitek pedals. I find you feel metal bar under your feet vs the long foot reat of the regular saitek pedals. The 'slide" plate makes it comfortable when using socks. The pedals in general feel more "meaty" vs the regular pedals. Great review, really enjoyed it.

I have the Saitek Pro Flight Pedals and the Velcro strip when placed on the bottom of the pedals grips well on carpet as long as you put the "teeth" side of the strips on the underside of the pedals.

bought these at Fry's....now both the peddles and the store are only in memory lol. Good thing I take care my stuff. My peddles work perfect been using them in IL2 and MS flight Sim

Software setup is the same as any other game controller, plug it in and voila they show up as an additional game controller. If you're using an operating system from the 90's I suppose you might need to install drivers, but Windows auto detected and installed them without any intervention on my part.

You don't need to do any explicit configuration to make them work with a joystick, they are an independent game controller to which you assign your rudder axes in game like you would a joystick.

You probably know this by now, but it's not a tension adjustment. It's a dampening adjustment.

Whatever you do, don't load the old mad-catz drivers into Windows 10-11 and then try to run DCS = it renders the pedals unusable and there is no uninstall process. I had to go through the registry and remove every Saitek pedal reference manually. On the upside, these old pedals (now over 10 years old) still work with the default Windows 10 drivers.

How wide are the pedals? What are the outer dimensions? I think I may install two of these side by side in a simulator cockpit.

I am having trouble getting mine setup correctly in Microsoft FSX Steam Edition. The Sensitivity and Null and Dead Zones are a true headache for me.

Is the very short range of depressing the pedals for braking a problem?

Have your opinions changed in the years since you bought them? Do they still work, and if not when did they fail? I just had to return my third set of Pro Gamer pedals and am sick of them failing, hoping these will be better...
