How to Master create ceramic sculpture

This is the main part of the process. We start with a model made from clay and then we work on creating the form. The first step is creating a piece of clay that is a good representation of the form we want to create. On this occasion, I use hand building coil technique. There are many ways to do this. Once I have created the form I can begin to work with the clay in a more creative way.

I really enjoyed watching the progression of your sculpture. The music and the pace worked well for the video. I recently bought a pottery wheel, but am having second thoughts about whether I really want to put so much effort into practicing to end up being constrained by the wheel and whatever level of skill I happen to reach. Your work has inspired me to try a bit of sculpting.
