It doesn't bother me in the least if the US military is making a weapon specifically for China.
China makes no attempt to hide the fact that it makes weapons to fight the USA.

Wonder if Chinese Air Defense systems are filled with water instead of fuel too?

In actual combat, the S-400 has underperformed from the hype around it. It has not lived up the stats surrounding it.

I am not sure when this video was put together but the information about the S-300 and S-400 is wrong. Both systems have proven to be more hype than reality. Ukraine has proven that all of the Russian claims about the systems were incredibly exaggerated.

Based on the battles in Ukraine, the S-400 has performed well below its claimed capacity. It has failed to hit Britain's 'Storm Shadow' and the GMLRS missiles fired from HIMARS.

S 400 just revealed its impotence against 2000 $ drones ! Erdogsan must be very sad, after wasting money on them

From the country that brought you the JDAM, the AMRAAM, the HARM, the MOAB, the Titan, the Tomahawk, the Javelin, the Harpoon, the Stinger, the Trident and the Hellfire.

We now have the SIAW.

We saw how Russian military systems work. Total piece of crap. 🤣

I recently saw a report that these Chinese artificial islands are already in the process of sinking back into the sea again.

The Russian S400….. LMAO! Couldn’t even stop ATACMS manufactured back in the 90s. Overpriced junk

South Korea, which is close to North Korea, wants different missile defense system specifications than the United States (and Japan). Therefore, Korean cannot rely on the US (Japanese) missile defense system. South Korea needs an interceptor missile with a very high ascent speed to intercept North Korea's nuclear EMP bombs at the ascending stage (altitude of 75 to 100 km). Therefore, there is no need for slowly rising missiles like SM-6, SM-3 and THAAD. Considering the interaction between the ionosphere and the Earth's magnetic field, the explosion altitude of a nuclear EMP bomb must be higher than 75 km. On the other hand, if the explosion altitude of a nuclear EMP bomb is over 150km, the attack range becomes large enough to include China and Japan. Therefore, the explosion of North Korea's nuclear EMP bomb will have an explosive force of 25 kt at an altitude of 100 km. Meanwhile, North Korea's hypersonic missile has a pre-glide stage (parabolic trajectory), a glide stage, and an end stage. It is difficult to expect to achieve a 100% intercept probability in the gliding and terminal stages where the trajectory is unpredictable. In order to increase the probability of interception, very fast ascent speeds and rapid changes in direction in and out of the atmosphere are required. The climb velocities of both SM-3 and SM-6 are too slow to intercept hypersonic missiles in their evasive glide and terminal phases. A SM-6 does not have a side thruster, so it is impossible to reduce the distance between the SM-6 and the hypersonic missile during a sharp evasive maneuver. Only terminal stage interception of a hypersonic missile will reduce the distance between the hypersonic missile and the SM-3, but the minimum interception altitude of the SM-3 is too high to be used. The Koreans maximized the climb speed even at the expense of the maximum altitude of the interceptor missile. In addition, a dual-wavelength band IR seeker and a continuously variable side thruster were adopted to enable detection and rapid direction changes inside and outside the atmosphere. Mass production and deployment are scheduled to begin in 2024 after the successful launch test of the Korean hypersonic glide vehicle in January. Last year, a test to intercept North Korea's missile replica was successful, and the hypersonic missile defense system will be deployed in 2026, after testing on the latest frigate, and deployed on the next generation Korean destroyer.

they couldnt shoe horn an S into that acronym ... 'stand-in super attack weapon

that why it would be a SiSAW

I feel so fortunate to live next to NAWS; the US Navy's largest land base. With 1.1million acres of open air space in the Mojave Desert, it shares air space with Fort Irwin, and Edwards AFB. The missile and fighter jet testing that goes on out there is spectacular. But, then again, most of it is so top secret that no one working there talks about it. After the 2019 earthquakes nearly wiped out much of the base, the Navy not only rebuilt the base, they expanded it. Now it's like a non-stop carnival of weapons testing.
I am convinced that the Navy has weapons far and above what is talked about in these videos. I am not foolish enough to think that the Chinese doesn't have weapons that we don't know about either. After all, they caught us off guard with a simple hot air balloon. But, living next to NAWS and knowing how much the US spends on defense is enough to tell me that we are more than prepared

The design of SiAW leverages work on the United States Navy's AGM-88G Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile - Extended Range (AARGM-ER). Korean stealth anti-ship missile (which was deployed in 2023) is the one of advanced SiAWs. It's intelligent homing function based on AESA radar/EO/IR/anti-radiation guiding sensor with/without a bidirectional data link. Same arrival time of multiple missiles with different sets of way points, searching maneuver, and evasive maneuver …
There is no way to neutralize it except a very good hit-to-kill interceptor and radar. But it's RCS is very small hence it is extremely difficult to detect it. For an example, S-band radar(SPY-7) or small aperture X-band radar(APG-81) are not enough for detecting it. We need a large aperture X-band radar and an interceptor with Ka-band AESA radar seeker. Warhead of Korean stealth anti-ship missile uses an insensitive high explosive gunpowder. Hence, it cannot be intercepted by 20mm bullets or small fragments fired from the interceptor warhead. Phalanx cannot stop it. Hence Korean developed a new CWIS using 30mm (goal keeper) bullets based on  4 facet AESA radar for detecting and 1 facet AESA radar for fire control.

If we want to punish China with this missile, we must prevent China from obtaining 0.15um-linewidth GaN devices. However, the 0.1um linewidth semiconductor equipment is old, and the related measurement equipments are so common in the wireless communications industry. Hence even China will be able to manufacture GaN devices with the 0.1um-linewidth in a few years.

TRUST ME WHEN I SAY... USA HAS FAR MORE ADVANCED AND OUTSTANDING AIR DEFENSE THAN WORLD CAN IMAGINE! GOD LIKE TECHNOLOGY !

The system does not have to be able to 100% defeat Chinese systems. It is effective if it prevents China from being 100% condident that it can take Taiwan. Deterrence is "good enough".

The SiAW??
Pathetic.
The country that gave you the Javelin, the Tomahawk, the Harpoon, and Hellfire missiles now gives the SiAW??
Obviously, we have run out of good warlike acronyms for our missiles.
SiAW sounds wimpy to me.
C'mon guys.
You can do better.

S-400 cannot detect the drones that come in to destroy it, in fact all the Russian systems seem unable to detect the drone threat. Russian SAM systems have met their Waterloo in Ukraine, and America and NATO systems have proved to be more effective than expected.
