One Piece has been going on for as long as my youngest brother has been alive (he’s born in June of the same year One Piece began in Shonen Jump Weekly in July). I began reading One Piece because I saw a book in a library and thought “ha, what a goofy art style”. And then I fell in love with the series…mostly because of Sanji and his FIRST heartbreaking backstory with Zeff (I love Zeff too in a very ‘what a cool and badass grandpa’ way). I found his girl-crazy persona funny, his suave charm delightful, the fact he’s a chef (because I too am a cook), ect ect…

But the more I got into One Piece, the more I found to love. And now whenever I’m starting to feel depressed, I hum Bink’s Sake to myself which perks me up just a little.
