I gotta say Emma D'arcy has been killing it for me. The expressions and mannerisms when Jace returned and you could very easily tell Rhaenyra was pissed and not hiding it very well, but trying to nonetheless

This is when Game Of Thrones and House Of The Dragon are at their best and most addictive for me, not from movie quality fight scenes, but from plans being made, from alliances being forged or broken, from the pieces being moved on the game board.

I've developed such a love hate appreciation for the sound design team. Jaehaerys' death, the dragons, the maesters tending to Aegon...just gut wrenching sounds.

There is a lot more inter-faction conflict in the show than there is in the books. The Daemon v Rhaenyra and Aegon v Aemond v Alicent conflicts are largely a show creation and I'm quite enjoying them.

This is not a great PR move, it’s the dumbest thing they could have possibly done. This is what they are saying: “Look, remember the great magical beasts we have you all fear? The very same ones that made us kings? They can be killed! Dumbass drunk Aegon who stays all day in the Street of Silk just killed Meleys, a 75yo dragon.”

Harry is killing it as Jace. He’s become one of my favorite characters! Season 1, you can see that he really wants to become a good King - and this season who see him step into his own. I just love his characterization so much. The last scene with him and Rhae strategizing was great. Rhae treats her kids as people and values their thoughts - or at least tries to. Ugh, the Gullet is going to end me.

Great scene between Corlys and Baela. I know Jace was the one to convince Cor in the books, but I think it was a nice touch to have grandfather and granddaughter work through some feelings regarding the lost of a wife and grandmother.

I loved seeing Jace and Baela step up this episode. Baela's conversation with Corlys was my favorite this episode. Daemon's fuck ups just keep adding up.

I have never felt as bad for a character in this show as I have for Lord Corlys Velaryon. His his daughter, his son (who may as well be dead), his brother, and now his beloved wife.

Steve Toussaint better get a damn Emmy or BAFTA nomination for this show!

It’s actually a terrible PR move bc they just showed that dragons, the main beings that give the Targaryen’s their power, are vulnerable and be killed. Which does affect the blacks but it also affects the greens as well and makes them look weaker.

I can understand Lady Arryn being p!ssed about not being sent a decent-sized dragon for protection....2 babies cant protect anything and wont be able to for years! She specified she wanted protection and they sent her basically nothing....🙄

Since they heard prince aemond is giving the orders, maybe they shouldve let queen alicent/helaena give the orders maybe it wouldve soothed their worries a little bit? That the king is not dying?

What I love about this show is the IRONIC... Women are shown to be POWERFUL in this episode.. With Baela taking the lead in dealing with Jace and her Grandfather, ALYS rivers leading Daemon by the nose, Jeyne Arryn running the VALE, and the Frey wife doing the negotiations for House Frey but when Alicent makes a bid to lead men and Rhaenerya asserts her authority they are shut down or condescending .. lol.. its kinda funny
