AP Physics C is one of the most demanding AP courses available to high school students. I have taught the program since 1999 and have 573 graduates so far. The two AP Physics C courses are based in Mechanics and Electricity and Magnetism. However, given the local curriculum, I am also required to cover electromagnetic interference and diffraction and some elementary quantum mechanics. Unrestrained, I have included these concepts, but at a quasi-AP level. Furthermore, I also include units on celestial mechanics, space science, program management and astrophysics. However, at the beginning, I include an introduction to multivariate functions and some of the basic operators. I also show arc length and line integration concepts. However, we spend half of our time in this unit on differential equations. The AP program requires the set up of these. I think that the able folks taking such a program should not be constrained and they are taught the solution to same.
